Marshmallow Rum Recipe

Today we will make an infusion of marshmallows and rum! If you have a whipping cream dispenser, you can make this marshmallow rum in 15 minutes. If you don't have a whipped cream syringe, you can also make the infusion, but it will just take a little longer. A few weeks longer actually.



We will first discuss the quick infusion using a isi gourmet whip, then the slow version.


End result:

250ml marshmallow-flavoured rum that will keep for months.


Ingredients:

Rum. I have used Mates Gold Rum

Marshmallows. You can also use mini marshmallows!

A whipped cream syringe

Two N2O cartridges

Kitchen sieve

Funnel




Recipe Marshmallow Rum quick way:

1. Weigh 100 grams of marshmallows.

2. Place the (mini) marshmallows in your whipped cream dispenser.

3. Add 275ml of rum.

4. Screw the cap firmly onto the whipped cream syringe.

5. Add two N2O cartridges.

6. Shake the whipped cream syringe vigorously up and down for 10 seconds.

7. Leave the whipped cream syringe to stand for 10 minutes.

8. Remove the pressure from the syringe by fully depressing the air lever.

9. Pour the rum into a bottle with a funnel and a (kitchen) strainer.





Recipe Marshmallow Rum slow way:

1. Weigh 100 grams of marshmallows.

2. Place the (mini) marshmallows in a glass jar.

3. Add 275ml of rum.

4. Screw the cap firmly onto the glass jar.

5. Leave the jar standing for 4 weeks, shaking it every now and then.

6. After 4 weeks, pour the rum into a bottle with a funnel and a (kitchen) strainer.


Voila! Rum that tastes like marshmallows!
